In addition to servicing Dry Risers, Dry Risers Direct Ltd now carry out Residential and Domestic Fire Sprinkler servicing to BS9251:2014. During the test the following areas are inspected – as a minimum;

• All heads and cover plates are clear from obstruction and decorative materials.
• There are no signs of leaks or corrosion.
• The water supplies function as designed. System pressures and flows.
• The system is linked to an alarm system that operates when a flow test is conducted.
• Nothing has changed to effect coverage of the sprinkler heads.
• The system is secured open and clearly labelled.
• Pump and Tank are inspected.

There is a legal requirement for property Owners/Managers to have their Fire Sprinklers tested annually and have a proof of test when requested by the relevant authorities.

• 21 PRVs for the Wet Riser.
• 10 Dry Riser outlets.

Work starts on the 10th September 2018 for two weeks work installing 27 floors of Wet Riser and Test Drain pipework and valves in London

The residential “mini-Shard” has been built next to London’s tallest skyscraper. The 27-storey, 160,000 sq ft block is the latest phase of the “London Bridge Quarter” and contains about 150 apartments, as  well as shops and landscaped public gardens. It has been designed and developed by the same team responsible for The Shard —architect Renzo Piano and the Sellar Property Group — with the financial backing of the Qatari government.

The engineers at Dry Risers Direct are poised to commence work on the installation of two dry risers at a new landmark development on London’s cultural Lollard Street next week. The stacks consist of 9 and 17 outlets including test valves located on the roof. It will be a phased installation where we will follow the build skyward as more levels are constructed.
